2 of the gun-toting men photographed during Ctg UP polls arrested

Two of the gun-toting criminals who were photographed during the recent UP election in Khagoria of Satkania upazila, under Chattogram, on February 7 have been arrested.

The arrestees are Md Shamsuddin alias Nisan (20) and Joynal Abedin alias Ledaiya (47), Chattogram Superintendent of Police, SM Rashidul Haque, confirmed the development.

Two groups — one supporting the ruling party-backed candidate Md Aktar Hossain and another supporting independent candidate Md Jasim Uddin — carrying firearms clashed at Khagoria Government Primary School polling centre and Khagoria UP centre on February 7 morning.
