Bangladesh tourist visa for Indians from tomorrow
After two years, Bangladesh’s tourist visa for Indian nationals will be re-introduced tomorrow, Friday (March 25). Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner to Kolkata Tawfiq Hasan told Prothom Alo on Thursday afternoon.
Tawfiq Hasan said the visa application will be accepted at the Bangladesh Visa Application Center, which is being set up in the CP block of Plot No. 15, Sector Five, Salt Lake, Kolkata. A photocopy of the certificate of double dose of Covid vaccine must be provided with the visa application. Applications will be accepted from 9 am to 3 pm. However, visa applications will no longer be accepted at the office of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission at Park Circus.
Earlier, there was no visa fee for Bangladesh visa. But now even if the visa is given free of cost, you have to pay 625 rupees for the processing fee. This money can be paid in cash or online.
With this Bangladeshi visa, Indians can travel to Bangladesh by road, plane and train. Not only West Bengal, but also Indians living in Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Sikkim of India will be able to get Bangladesh visa from Kolkata Sub-High Commission.
