JCI Chittagong Cosmopolitan gets new committee

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Chittagong Cosmopolitan has recently got new executive committee for 2022.

Abu Bakar Shahed (Shaan) and Mohammad Ismail Munna have been elected as president and secretary general of the new committee respectively, according to a press release of the chamber.

JCI organised a general members’ meeting at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View hotel in the port city Friday night.

Tipu Sultan Shikdar, former president of JCI, and Moslem Uddin Ahmad, a lawmaker, attended the event.

“We will open more chapters outside Dhaka like Barishal, Sylhet, Cox’s Bazar etc so that our young generation get involved to bring positive changes in the society and all the citizens experience the positive outcome from those activities,” said Niaz Morshed Elite, national president of JCI.

“Besides, we are working on loan facilities for young entrepreneurs, so that they can get loans easily.”

He also said JCI is a global organisation consisting of young active citizens aged between 18 to 40 years, who are engaged in development activities of the society.

Member of Parliament Khadizatul Anwar Sony, Chattogram Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Shahjahan, Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mahbubul Alam were also present.
