‘Loki’ Star Owen Wilson Teases Mobius’ Past In Season 2

Loki season 2 is set to debut later this year on Disney Plus. When speaking about his return as Mobius in the series, Owen Wilson teased a much deeper history for the TVA agent than was given in the first season.

Agent Mobius was an immediate fan favorite when Loki first debuted on Disney Plus, partially due to Owen Wilson’s acting and partially due to his love of jet skis. However, season one of the show seemed to leave his backstory purposefully vague. When speaking about his return as the character, Wilson revealed that the story is set to go deeper:

“I thought I would have a good time but I really enjoyed it,” Wilson told Comicbook.com. “I’ve been lucky working on a million movies and always having a good time but on that one, I had a really great time and that continued on Season Two. Maybe even moreso because we were filming in London and being there at Pinewood but yeah, [his story] just goes deeper.”

It’s unclear what direction Loki will take Mobius in season 2. However, given Owen Wilson by far serves as the favorite new character from the series, it’s likely that some new depth will be added to him, for better or for worse. Though the only way to find out if the TVA agent will finally get his jet ski is to tune in to Loki when it debuts on Disney Plus later this year.

Tom Hiddleston is spearheading the cast of Loki season two as the titular God of Mischief. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Neil Ellice.

Eric Martin replaced Michael Waldron as the head writer of Loki for its second season. Martin and Waldron also serve as executive producers on the series alongside Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead directed the majority of the episodes for the upcoming season.

Loki season two is expected to premiere next Summer on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
