Markram dropped out
South African batsman Aiden Markram has been ruled out of the ongoing five-match Twenty20 series against India after failing to play a week after being infected with the coronavirus. He has already withdrawn his name from the series.
Markram was attacked by Corona before the start of the series against India. He could not play in the first three matches of the series. Markram went to quarantine for a week after being attacked by Corona.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) had hoped to get Markram in the last two matches. Markram is not fit to play even if he is in quarantine for a week.
Markram dropped out
In a statement, the CSA said, “Markram has been ruled out of the rest of the T20 series. He spent seven days in quarantine after being attacked by Corona last week. Markram will not be able to play the last two matches. He has been allowed to return home to take care of his mental health. ”
South Africa are 2-1 up in the five-match series against India.
