Raktim transferred to ICU of Chittagong Medical College

Raktim Sushil, who was seriously injured in a pick-up collision at Chakaria in Cox’s Bazar, has been shifted to Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital. He was rushed to Chittagong General Hospital on Sunday afternoon for advanced treatment. Five brothers of Raktim were killed in that accident.

Doctors said Raktim was rushed to the General Hospital for advanced treatment as there was no specialized department for neurosurgery. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. He has been kept in life support there. Raktim was injured in different parts of the body including hands, legs, head and ribs.

It may be mentioned that a speeding pickup was pushed by Raktim and other family members on the side of Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar road in Malumghata area of ​​Chakaria upazila on Tuesday morning. They were returning home after the shraddha of their father Suresh Sushil who died 10 days ago. Five of Raktim’s brothers were killed when the pickup hit them.

Raktim, his brother Plavan and sister Hira were among the three seriously injured. Plavan returned home on Thursday from Chamek Hospital with treatment. Dulahajra is undergoing treatment at Hira Hospital.
